Disneyland
Welcome to Disneyland from the Santa Ana River bicycle trail.
Disneyland can be found by going 2.3 miles for 13 minutes after exiting the Katella Avenue, bridge. The measured point takes you to the southeast part of Disneyland. It was originally built on 160 acres of orange groves and walnut trees.
By the 1990s work started on the property, to transform it into the Anaheim Resort District which only had Disneyland and the Disneyland Hotel, at the begining. At this time other hotels called Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa were added in addition to Downtown Disney with shopping, dining and entertainment. Another theme park was added Disney California Adventure Park. A six level parking garage was also added to make room for all the new projects.
The different areas are divided into lands, and there are backstages and tunnels, not seen by the public, for the employees to pass through the different lands. One of them are Main Street, another Adventureland, then New Orleans Square, Frontierland is another, then comes Critter Country, Fantasyland and Mickey's Toontown, are a couple more and last is Tomorrowland.
There is a Disneyland Railroad, that goes to some of the lands. Above Disneyland is Disneyland Mononrail and was the first of it's kind when it opened up in 1959. In the later evening, be sure not to miss the Disneyland fireworks, just about every day of the year. To get into the park with an adult ticket expect to spend in excess of $100.
