Honda Center
Welcome to the Honda Center on the Santa Ana River bicycle trail.
If you are going north on the Santa Ana River Trail, go under the Katella Avenue bridge, then go left and then go out to Katella Avenue going west and a couple hundred feet, you'll find the entrance to the Honda Center, which is located at 2695 East Katella Avenue on the corner of Douglass Road in the City of Anaheim, who currently owns the Honda Center, that opened in 1993. Alot of times the Honda Center, is referred to as "The Pond". Until 2021 Honda has purchased naming rights to the indoor arena, with room for over 17,000 fans. The Ducks are the name of the NHL team that plays there. Other events are also held at the same location, throughout the year, when the Ducks aren't playing.
In 8 hours time, the arena, can be converted to a 8400 seat amphitheater. There are also, 84 luxury seats in the building. The facility can also be converted to almost 19,000 seats for concerts with only a small center stage in the middle. There is a 8 foot tall and 24 foot wide LED video disply for advertising, the next events to be held at the center.
The Honda Center is currently under going an expansion, with the Grand Terrace Project, said to open in early 2013. As of September 2012, the pillars have been partiarly buit, and rebar around the framing still. Go to Honda Center.com if you would like to know the construction updates.
